Happy Valentines Day!

 "Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious, but extravagent. He didn’t love in order to get something from us, but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.

Today is a good day! A day to slow down and think about your lovies in your life. My husband is such a great man and I love him so. With everything going on...buying a house, painting, grandma being in hospital..I haven't had time to thank him. I am going to take a few minutes to blog about our love story!



1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
  We have been together for 3 years this month actually.
2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}
We met at a restaurant called Champs. I was actually on an internet dating website and was supposed to meet my date at the restaurant. It was totally blind so I was a little nervous. I sat down next to Josh to have a drink and we just started talking. He had just gotten off work and was getting something to eat. My date never showed up and now I am happily married to the love of my life. It's funny how god works sometimes.
3. If married, how long have you been married? If not, is this the guy you hope to marry? {do tell}
We have been married 1 year last September
4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?  If not, where would you like to get married? And will it be big or small?
We had an amazing wedding in Avon Lake Ohio with all of our 150 guests. I would not trade that day for anything. 
5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
Yes..of course! I call him GA and he calls me Robin Hood. I have always called him GA because he is from Georgia and loves that state! He calls me Robin Hood because I have these black boots that I wore when we first met that look like boots from the movie Robin Hood....the name just stuck. 
6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
JUST 3! 1. He makes me laugh..I love his smile. 2. He has such a big heart. 3. I love the way he loves me....I can do no wrong and I wonder how he puts up with me sometimes. 
He makes me laugh:)


7. Tell us how he proposed? Or your ideal proposal?
He was so nervous and cute. We took a blanket and some DQ to the lake (Lake Erie) and watched the sunset. It was perfect...romantic and just about US!
8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?
He is more of a flowers type of guy! Wild flowers...I love him
9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
I like both actually but since I do not live anywhere near water, we love to pop a movie in and relax. We work very hard during the week so we love spending the weekends together.
10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
We are definitely looking forward to starting a family...that's a no brainer from my blog..haaa. I would love to go to Ireland with him someday. We need to travel more:)
11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day. 
Painting:) We just bought a house and we have a lot to do.
12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?
NOPE! Just him.

13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love. 
I think the biggest thing is dont take life to serious. Try to slow down and enjoy each other because life is short and we are not guaranteed anything. Put Jesus first in your relationship and embrace his plan for you.

Woops!

Woops! I think I failed my 15 day blog challenge....bad Shannon bad Shannon..heee. Well I am still back, no worries there. Just have been super busy with my spinning bike, husband, loving Jesus more and more everyday,  oh and buying a house...no biggie! Yup you read correctly, Josh and I bought our first (and hopefully last) house. Is is exciting and scary all at the same time. We decided to buy the house, then go back and seriously start our project baby. The song goes...first comes love, then comes marriage (Then house), then baby carriage...right. Doesn't everyone do it that way? Still stuggling with my ovaries, hormones, baby daddy and all the other things it takes to have a baby BUT it is in God's hand and only he knows when we are ready.

Onto more exciting news......CONGRATULATIONS to my good friends Jackie and Brian Romito on welcoming their precious baby girl Maya into this world. God is so good:)

Well I have a long couple weeks for packing, moving, painting, decorating and much  more. Excited to start this new chapter with my amazing and sooooo lovable husband. How does he put up with me sometimes??















I will promise to keep everyone in the loop and continue to love life, my husband, friends and of course Jesus:)
